A blank jacket
and a bad idea.
Canvas Theory started in 2025 with one plain denim jacket and a paintbrush. The first piece was for a friend — hand-painted, freehand, no stencils, learning the surface as it went. She wore it constantly.
That was the moment the idea stopped being a favor and started being a question: what if everyday things — jackets, totes, even a clock on the wall — were treated as a canvas instead of just an object?
