These Terms of Service govern your use of the Canvas Theory website (canvastheory.in) and the purchase of custom hand-painted products from Canvas Theory ("we", "us", "our"), a one-person hobby shop based in Bangalore, India. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Canvas Theory sells hand-painted, made-to-order denim jackets, canvas tote bags, and quartz wall clocks. Every piece is:
Clocks: Wall clocks are sold without glass. The quartz mechanism is fully working. Batteries are not included. This is stated clearly on the product page and order form.
Because products are custom-made to order, we confirm your design concept with you before painting begins. If you don't respond to our design confirmation within 5 business days, we'll proceed with the closest reasonable interpretation of your notes.
All prices are in Indian Rupees and include GST where applicable. Prices are subject to change without notice, but your order is locked in at the price shown at the time of payment.
Payment is processed via Razorpay at the time of order. We accept UPI, net banking, credit cards, and debit cards. Orders are confirmed only after successful payment — we do not hold slots or accept advance bookings without payment.
These are estimates, not guarantees. Custom painting takes the time it takes. If we expect a delay beyond the above, we'll let you know proactively.
We are not responsible for delays caused by shipping couriers once your order has been dispatched and a tracking number shared.

Because all products are custom-painted to your specification, we generally do not accept returns or issue refunds once the product has been painted and dispatched. Exceptions:
In any of the above cases, contact us within 48 hours of delivery (or within 5 days of the expected delivery date if the item is lost). We'll arrange a replacement or refund at our discretion. See our Refund Policy for full details.
We do not accept returns for reasons of "change of mind", incorrect size selected by you, or dissatisfaction with a design you approved before painting.
Once you receive your order, you own the physical piece. Canvas Theory retains the right to photograph completed pieces for portfolio and marketing purposes (e.g. Instagram posts). If you'd prefer we don't, let us know at the time of order.
Do not send us requests to reproduce copyrighted designs, brand logos, or other IP you don't own. We won't paint those and won't be liable for any design you describe that infringes a third party's rights.
We are building a library of 50+ painted design options. Until this is live, orders are placed by describing your design in the notes field. Selecting "Custom — tell us in notes" means we'll work with you to interpret and paint your description as faithfully as possible within our painting capabilities.
Canvas Theory is a small one-person operation. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from an order is limited to the amount you paid for that specific order. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bangalore, Karnataka.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
